Grantees

Placeholder Sub Heading
The Boston Foundation is proud to work with and support the amazing nonprofit organizations, artists, educators, and agencies that power so much good across our region.
Our Nonprofit Partners
Nearly all grants funded through the Foundation’s endowment and designated and special funds (what we call discretionary grantmaking) support nonprofits and initiatives within Massachusetts. Some are branches of national organizations. The following list names all of TBF’s FY2025 grantees. Donor advised fund grantees are not all named here; however, it is gratifying that among these listed, 238 have also received support from our donor advised funds this year.

Beyond Grantmaking
As part of our Community Leadership pathway work, we focus on building and supporting the nonprofit ecosystem writ large, through services to develop the infrastructure and support the individuals who make up our region’s impressive nonprofit sector. This includes timely workshops; networking opportunities; and Nonprofit Update, a quarterly newsletter TBF produces to connect nonprofit leaders with grant opportunities, professional development options, key upcoming events, and other news and resources to support a thriving nonprofit sector.
“Nonprofits can’t meet their missions without a fairly compensated workforce, strong operations, strategic planning and a myriad of other internal capacities.”
